Spaherocypraea Incomparabilis
Chimaeria incomparabilis Briano, 1993. Because of fossil evidence, it has since been placed in the genus Spaherocypraea. the holotype at the MNHN, and the specimens at the USMN and AMNH. It is a beautiful and distinct species. It was described as a cypraeid, then Fehse said it was a synonym of a fossil ovulid in the genus Sphaerocypraea. It may belong in a group of its own.
